A Mobile Controller That’s Also Perfect for the Nintendo Switch 2: abxylute S8

Abxylute has officially launched the S8 Wireless Mobile Controller, a new cross-platform controller that not only supports iOS and Android devices but also works seamlessly with the original Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.

Designed as a follow-up to the popular S9 model, the S8 ditches the USB-C in favor of full flexibility, adding support for a wider range of devices, from phones and tablets to handheld consoles like the Switch 2 and even smart TVs or PC setups.

On the hardware side, the S8 brings full-size Hall effect joysticks and linear triggers, programmable back buttons, and gyro support, all wrapped in an ergonomic design.

The controller expands up to 216mm (8.5in), allowing it to fit a variety of devices, including tablets like the iPad mini and Lenovo Y700. It also includes adjustable spacers to help position devices more comfortably and avoid accidental volume presses, plus swappable D-pads to match different play styles.

The Abxy Game companion app rounds out the experience with advanced control customization, firmware-level touchscreen mapping on Android, and a built-in game launcher with pre-set profiles for popular mobile titles.

The S8 Wireless Mobile Controller is available for pre-order now for $59 USD via Abxylute’s website, with free worldwide shipping.
