SEGA DBS: Retro Gaming Handheld & Schedule Planner
Published Aug 24, 2023
The SEGA DBS is a new gaming handheld concept that aims to add a bit of old school fun to tedious tasks such as schedule planning and calendar management. Envisioned by South Korean product designers JiHoon Park, WooJin Shin, Nahyun Kwon and Seungmin Hong, the SEGA DBS’ design is an ode to retro gaming, harkening back to the iconic handheld console devices of the 80s and 90s.
For many of us, the mere mention of SEGA conjures up fond memories of pixelated adventures and classic soundtracks. But this handheld is not just a nostalgic trip down memory lane. The concept was created with the idea of combining the joy of gaming with the practicality of a schedule planner and calendar. Imagine having your favorite classic games at your fingertips while also keeping track of your daily tasks and appointments. It’s a truly ingenious concept and a captivating fusion of past and present, entertainment and productivity.
