Automobile: Outlandish Art Installation by Studio Job
Published Mar 27, 2024
Studio Job is an avant-garde studio based in the Netherlands and Milan, known for producing provocative and whimsical creations. Among their most incredible projects is the “Automobile” art installation, a piece that demonstrates their unparalleled ability to transform everyday objects into extraordinary artistic statements.
In 2013, Studio Job was commissioned to create a special version of the Land Rover to commemorate its 65th birthday. The outcome of this collaboration was nothing short of spectacular, resulting in a piece that Studio Job describes as “a masterpiece, a summary of the Studio’s whole oeuvre in all its layered facets.”
The studio employed an eclectic mix of materials to bring this vision to life. The installation features aluminum, bronze, brass, European oak, ceramic, Swarovski crystals, hand-blown glass, hand paintings, leather, rubber, stained glass, and even gold.
