XYZ: Precision tools for designers
Published Dec 8, 2016
XYZ is a clever set of precision tool concepts created by Chicago-based designers Pascal Ruelle, Nico Gibson and Ishmael Adams. The beautifully crafted pieces combine established measuring tool conventions with cutting-edge technology.
“XYZ is a toolset directly inspired by the way creatives work in our modern era. Keeping the archetype of measuring tools the design is intended to reflect the craftsmanship and the quality that designers care so much about.
The XYZ toolset eliminates the need to take measurements in a notebook or on paper. Instead, everything measured will be saved and sorted directly in a simple and effective app. Measurements can then easily be accessed on a phone, tablet or computer. Whether used by an architect, a graphic or industrial designer, XYZ integrates seamlessly into a creative’s workflow.”
