Wwwind Studio Branding by Slowfire Design
Published Oct 10, 2024
Taipei-based studio Slowfire Design created a beautiful new brand identity for Wwwind Studio that’s packed with symbolism and cultural significance.
According to Slowfire’s founders Choi Hiocheng and Chen Chungyang, the inspiration came from Wwwind Studio’s original Chinese name, which means “strong wind at high altitudes.” They feel this idea represents clarity and focus, especially when compared to the chaotic winds found closer to the ground. This overarching concept gave them a great starting point to craft a unique brand identity for the studio.
By combining the structure of the Chinese character ‘罡’ with the shape of a flag waving in the wind, they designed a logo that’s striking and meaningful. The flag in particular is a powerful symbol of innovation and progress, echoing Wwwind Studio’s commitment to breaking new ground in Taiwan’s film and TV scene.
