Verizon Surf Awards Identity by Wedge & Lever
Published Jan 22, 2014
Cool project by Wedge & Lever, an independent design studio based in San Diego, California.
“In 2012, Verizon Wireless teamed up with Transworld Surf to honor the past year’s greatest achievements in surfing. Every December the surf world converges on Oahu’s north shore—an excellent location and opportunity to create a fresh, memorable award ceremony. We created 12 custom machetes for the honorees and built a marketing campaign around them. For each award, a short video piece was produced. Winners of the awards were later announced in an editorial feature and their corresponding video content was launched with the release of the issue.”
