The Porcelain Guitar by Tomáš Havel

Prague-based designer Tomáš Havel created this gorgeous concept for a resophonic guitar made of porcelain, with a mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard.
The body is based on the shape of a traditional guitar (supplemented by beveled edges) and is influenced by the limits of the material, production technology and the rules of the Helmholtz resonator.
The sound is effectively amplified by a parabolically shaped porcelain piece, which is inserted into the body, in direct contact with the wooden bridge.
