Tethered Worlds: Recycled Artworks by Spencer Hansen
Published Apr 5, 2024
Spencer Hansen is an artist known for his incredible ability to breathe life into salvaged materials, transforming them into strange and wonderful works of art.
For over a decade now, the artist has been living and working part time in Bali, collaborating with local artists to produce his unique pieces and further develop his craft. His most recent solo exhibition, Tethered Worlds, is an imaginative collection of characters and figures. Spencer meticulously crafted these sculptures by transforming common natural materials like wood, fur, and bone into enigmatic yet friendly beings, each with their own unique features and personalities.
Tethered Worlds will be hosted by Skye Gallery in New York from April 4 to May 26.
