Surreal Self-Portraits & Digital Caricatures by Omar Aqil
Published Jan 27, 2025
Pakistani designer and illustrator Omar Aqil is back on the grid with a series of surreal and imaginative self-portraits.
These “digital caricatures” are a playful mix of imagination and skill, where Omar uses everyday objects to craft captivating compositions. The “head” in his portraits is formed by various objects, including abstract shapes, his own glasses and other personal items, and even elements from work, like the logos from past client projects. It’s a brilliant blend of structure and chaos that creates a layered narrative about identity, creativity, and the interplay between his personal and professional life.
