BLIND is a design studio based in London specializing in user interface design for feature film productions.
Their work on the fictional on-screen technology and interfaces used in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” is nothing short of amazing.
“To capture that authentic Star Wars look, Booth and his team studied not just the original trilogy, but scores of other 1970s films. ‘You’re having to kind of imagine what those graphics felt like before you had personal computers,’ Booth says. ‘For example, in the Star Wars universe, there are no keyboards, because in the original movies, if there had been a keyboard on set, everyone would’ve thought they were in a pool of typists.”
