Sometimes Silence is Love: Illustrations by Cabin Studio

“Sometimes Silence Is Love” is a series of black and white illustrations by Cabin Studio, created in collaboration with writer Pham Thi Dieu Thuy. This lovely collection of images accompanies a book with the same name, intertwining narratives of grief, sadness and love.

Cabin is a Vietnamese studio led by two local artists, Le Duc Hung and Slim. The striking grayscale visuals in the book were crafted by Le Duc Hung, adding an emotional layer that pulls readers into the story. He shared his thoughts on the project, saying:

“This was my opportunity to show a part of my soul within each chapter of the book.”

The lack of colour in these pieces captures the rawness of human experiences, from love and loss, to longing and silence. By keeping his images monochrome, Le Duc directs our attention to the delicate lines and powerful emotions expressed in his art.
