Reciprocal: Ethereal Photos by Zac Henderson
Published Nov 5, 2024
Zac Henderson‘s “Reciprocal” series is a stunning collection of images captured over five days in the Gypsum sand dunes of the American Southwest.
While hiking into the dunes at twilight, Zac witnessed the beautiful transformation of the landscape and captured the dynamic beautiful interplay between the setting sun and the white sands of the dunefield. The twilight transforms the landscape into a canvas of shifting colors and forms, casting a spectrum of pastel hues across the dunefield.
According to Zac, the series is a meditative study of softness, subtlety, and delicate balance.
“Watching the white sand reflect a rainbow of color with the setting sun, and feeling briefly disoriented due to the progressive loss of contrast, is an otherworldly pleasure and privilege.”
