Re-Emergent: Primary Hughes’ Solo Exhibition at Modern Eden Gallery
Published Oct 4, 2023
San Francisco’s acclaimed Modern Eden Gallery is currently presenting the remarkable Re-Emergent solo exhibition featuring one of our favorite artists, Primary Hughes. The exhibition, which opened on September 9, will be on display until October 5, 2023. It marks Hughes’ second solo exhibition at Modern Eden, following the success of his 2020 exhibition, Emergent.
“In Re-Emergent, colors dance and forms intertwine.”
“The ‘Re-Emergent’ paintings of Primary Hughes continue to explore the liminal space between clarity and intrigue, beckoning viewers to enter into the narrative unfolding. Through layered transitions and melding of form, the feminine subjects are woven into abstraction. The interplay of color and shape creates a tapestry that unfurls its meaning long after the viewing.”
