Poetic & Surreal Illustrations by Adara Sánchez

Spanish illustrator Adara Sánchez combines delicate drawing, rich textures and vibrant colors with a distinctly surreal sensibility to create captivating artworks. Originally from Seville and currently based in Bilbao, Adara studied Fine Arts in Seville and Antwerp before specializing in illustration in Barcelona. Her work blends traditional techniques with digital coloring to produce compositions filled with symbolism and emotion.

In her illustrations, Adara leads us into strange and beautiful worlds, where giant birds peer through apartment windows, colorful parrots fly across glowing celestial bodies and human figures dissolve into flames. Some of her pieces also explore the connection between people and nature, incorporating delicate insects, botanical elements and dreamlike imagery into introspective portraits.
