Parallel Horizons: Murals by Lex Zooz
Published Apr 13, 2026
Estonian-born, Lisbon-based muralist Lex Zooz transforms ordinary buildings into expansive, dreamlike environments. Working at scales that range from warehouse doors to eight-storey facades, he treats walls as portals, stretching them into layered landscapes filled with glowing skies, abstracted flora and distant horizons.
His process is shaped by classical training but pushed into a more graphic, futuristic direction. In his murals, windows cut through skies, corners split scenes into parallel views, and flat facades become rolling terrain or luminous forests. The palette is always harmonious but slightly off in the best way, blending painterly control with color logic that belongs to no known latitude or hour.
