Neon Worms: Abstract Organisms in Living Color
Published Sep 19, 2025
Barcelona-based creative studio Retoka continues to blur the line between science and imagination with Neon Worms, a vibrant conceptual series of digital artworks.
Each artwork reimagines abstract organisms as glowing, biomorphic forms that seem to pulse with energy. Built from layered gradients, soft transparencies, and bold color transitions, these illustrations bring to mind alien lifeforms floating in liquid light. Presented in a striking poster format, each “creature” carries labels referencing real microscopic species, grounding the surreal visuals with a hint of taxonomy while remaining untethered from earthly constraints.
Playful and hypnotic, Neon Worms captures Retoka’s signature approach: experimental design that balances geometry, color theory, and motion-inspired flow. You can explore more of their work on Behance, Instagram and their website.
