Neon Veins: Electric Portraits by Nikita Zhurnakov

Russian photographer Nikita Zhurnakov returns to the Grid with Neon Veins, a striking new collection of portraits. Shifting between searing reds and icy blues, the series plays with extreme contrasts, fractured reflections and razor-sharp beams of light.
The images in this new collection have an intense, almost hypnotic energy. Faces glow in narrow bands of illumination, eyes flare with electric color and silhouettes melt into pools of saturated light.
Nikita has been shooting for more than seventeen years, balancing personal explorations with commercial collaborations for brands like Adidas, Yandex, VK, Purina and IKEA. He is also a brand ambassador for Godox, Getblaze, Wfolio and Getlens, and his technical command of lighting is on full display here, pushing color and contrast into a bold and highly stylized realm.
