Vancouver-based professional makeup artist Mimi Choi draws inspiration from masters such as M.C. Escher and Salvador Dali to create incredible optical illusions.
Mimi has become an internet sensation for her jaw-dropping creations, amassing a following of almost 2 million fans on Instagram. Her intricate designs include optical illusions that play with perception, such as a face engulfed in itself or portraits with duplicated facial features. In addition to creating incredible works of art on the face, Choi also experiments with body painting and special effects makeup.
From animal-inspired looks to abstract art, there’s no limit to what she can create using just face paint.
