The A’ Design Award & Competition is one of the world’s largest international design competitions, recognizing outstanding work across architecture, product design, furniture, graphics, fashion, digital design, art and many other creative disciplines.

Founded in 2008, the award is built around a multidisciplinary jury of designers, academics, entrepreneurs and members of the press. The latest 2025–2026 edition recognized 1,683 winners from 115 countries across 162 design disciplines, underlining just how broad the competition has become.

Rather than simply celebrating a finished object or project, the A’ Design Award looks at design as a force for innovation, cultural expression and positive change. Its winners span everything from highly engineered products to experimental architecture and visual identities, making the annual results an unusually rich snapshot of where contemporary design is heading.

The judging process is central to that mission. For the 2025/2026 cycle, the Grand Jury included hundreds of international professionals from design, academia, business and the media. Entries are assessed anonymously against predetermined criteria, with the aim of making the process as fair and merit-based as possible.

The Award does not define good design through one particular aesthetic or discipline. Instead, it creates a platform where architecture, objects, technology, graphics, fashion and art can be recognized for their ability to solve problems, communicate ideas and create meaningful experiences.

Winning also comes with considerably more than a trophy. The A’ Design Prize includes a range of promotional and professional benefits, including exhibition opportunities, the printed yearbook, a certificate, the distinctive metal trophy, winner branding and an extensive international publicity campaign. The objective is to give winning designers a platform that extends beyond the announcement itself.
