LEGO & Wallpaper Present The World’s First Buildable Magazine Cover

Published Dec 18, 2024

LEGO has always been synonymous with creativity, but their partnership with design magazine Wallpaper took things to a whole new level. To launch their space-inspired set “Over the Moon,” created in collaboration with Pharrell Williams, LEGO teamed up with Wallpaper to create the world’s first buildable magazine cover.

This limited-edition cover featured seven precise holes designed to fit LEGO bricks, transforming the magazine into an interactive canvas for readers to craft their own unique designs. To amplify its impact, LEGO brought in a group of fans to showcase their own builds inspired by the magazine. More than 300,000 unique covers were created, and some of them were showcased at the “LEGO Inspiration Space,” an exhibition held in Chengdu, China.
