Illustrations by Sahin Karakoc

Published Mar 18, 2015

Turkish artist Sahin Karakoc creates beautiful illustrations using acrylic on fine paper or canvas as his main technique.

“Sahin started his career with creating book covers for wild west graphic novels. Shortly, he was discovered by the major publishers in his home country, Turkey, and his ‘cover business’ became huge. In 30 years, he illustrated more than 3000 covers. In the meantime, he also created numerous movie poster illustrations for 20th Century Fox’s and Sony Pictures’ distributors in Turkey.

After that, Turkish advertising industry gets stronger and stronger and the need for illustration became a big part of it, so Sahin continued his career by creating advertising illustrations. As one of the most well known illustrators in Turkey with his widely popular, award winning works that he created for the country’s biggest brands, he co-founded the Turkish Illustrators Society.

In his portfolio, there are thousands of illustrations done for Turkish and global brands such as Coca Cola, Ford, Volkswagen, Turkcell, Arcelik and Garanti.”
