HandPocket: A Sleek Retro Gaming Handheld Concept by Hamza Tarmast
Published Jan 14, 2025
Moroccan product designer Hamza Tarmast has come up with a cool retro gaming handheld concept called the HandPocket, which takes its inspiration from the legendary Game Boy.
Hamza has showcased this concept in four vibrant colors: purple, orange, light blue and a sleek black model. The words “hand pocket” are stylishly written in katakana on both sides of the device, giving it a modern, cyberpunk look.
When it comes to controls, the HandPocket features recessed asymmetrical analog sticks, a classic cross-shaped d-pad, and small ABXY buttons along with three quick menu buttons at the bottom. On the left side, there’s a power button and volume rocker, while on the right side there’s an intriguing large function button or dial. It’s not entirely clear what this button does since there isn’t much info available about the concept out there.
