Created by Portuguese graphic designer Luísa Dias, the FACE IT project aims to visually explore human appearance and personality through abstract artworks.
“It showcases human appearance through close-up portraits of sixteen individuals, and idealizes, with the help of graphic design, their immaterial and intangible side through photographic manipulation.”
The visual project is accompanied by a book that includes a dissertation discussing how appearance and personality can be represented through images.
“Focusing on several graphic design fields, such as photography and mixed media, this editorial edition breaks down the concept behind the 32 works (16 portraits and 16 photo manipulations) made for the FACE IT project and displays its end result.”
