Eroded Objects: Sculptures by Daniel Arsham

American contemporary artist Daniel Arsham uses a variety of materials such as concrete, volcanic ash, and crystalized minerals to create his distinctive pieces. He is known for incorporating images of forgotten elements from the past such as discarded pieces of clothing, vintage cameras and typewriters into his work.

One of Arsham’s most famous works is The Future Relic series which consists of sculptures made out of concrete casts of everyday objects like phones and cameras that have been eroded by time. Another popular work is Crystal Toys which features teddy bears encased in blocks of ash, amethyst, selenite, and quartz.
