AYANEO Unveils the NEXT II, a Feature-Packed Flagship With a Massive OLED Display

AYANEO has officially lifted the curtain on the NEXT II, its new flagship Windows handheld with a custom 9.06 inch OLED display.

It is the largest and most ambitious screen the company has ever shipped on a portable device, with a native landscape layout, a 2400×1504 resolution, switchable refresh rates up to 165Hz, and peak brightness of 1100 nits.

Inside, the NEXT II runs on AMD’s latest Ryzen AI Max+ 395 APU, promising desktop-class performance with up to 85W TDP. The handheld also packs a huge 115Wh internal battery, which is the largest we’ve seen in this category.

On the control side, the company is bringing back many of the ideas that made the KUN stand out. That includes world class Hall effect joysticks, Hall linear triggers with dual mode trigger locks, floating 8 way D-pad, and the return of the customizable dual smart touchpads. The device also adds four programmable rear buttons designed for quick inputs.
