Lost In Time: Amazing Photos of Dubai by Franck Bohbot
Published Aug 22, 2024
Dubai, a city synonymous with luxury, architectural marvels and vibrant culture, unveils a different narrative through the lens of French photographer Franck Bohbot in his series “Dubai: Lost In Time.” Commissioned by Leica and Dubai Culture, Franck was granted a “carte blanche” to explore and capture the multifaceted essence of this iconic Middle Eastern city.
Franck’s journey through Dubai showcases the city’s transformation from a modest fishing town to a bustling megalopolis. His images invite viewers to see beyond Dubai’s glittering skyscrapers and lavish lifestyle by juxtaposing the old with the new, the luxurious with the ordinary. This exploration of contrasts is the main theme of the series. In one frame, the ultra-modern skyline pierces the desert sky, while in another, the quiet corners of traditional souks whisper tales of the past.
If you’d like to see more, you can discover the full series on Behance or on Franck’s website.
