Bottle Cap Portraits by Jeffrey A. Meszaros

Published Oct 22, 2024

Jeffrey A. Meszaros is an incredibly talented artist who turns old bottle caps into amazing portraits of famous actors, musicians and celebrities.

Jeff initially got the idea for his captivating pieces back in 2008 when he was bartending and started noticing the vibrant colors of the bottle caps he tossed away every day. Inspired by the potential he saw in these simple objects, he started developing an artistic technique that would take six years to mature.

His process involves flattening and layering bottle caps to create intricate mosaics. When you look at them from afar, you can see recognizable faces, but if you get closer, you’ll discover all sorts of hidden details and fun surprises that encourage a deeper look at his work. Over the years, his creations caught the attention of some prestigious clients, resulting in commissioned work for the Chicago Bulls, Deep Eddy Vodka and Labatt Brewing Company, among many others.
