Between Motion and Memory: Illustrations by Yogi Fahmi Riandito

Yogi Fahmi Riandito is a Jakarta-based artist who creates expressive illustrations exploring a wide range of themes, from high-energy sports imagery and character-driven sketches to more peaceful, dreamlike landscapes.

Trained in fine art before joining Jakarta’s Beranda Seni studio, Yogi built his foundation in traditional media, and it still drives his thinking, even when the tools are digital. In his figurative drawings, he combines clean silhouettes, angular stances and selective bursts of color with rough marks and visible textures that keep the work feeling spontaneous rather than overly polished. His atmospheric watercolor pieces push things further, letting pigment bleed and pool into skies and seas, evoking a sense of wonder, solitude or introspection.
