Kotaro Chiba is a Japanese artist who creates beautiful illustrations inspired by the Ukiyo-e art style, a genre of Japanese art which flourished from the 17th through 19th centuries. His work is characterized by its intricate drawings, traditional elements, and ornate scenes featuring female characters.
Kotaro started out printing his illustrations on t-shirts back in 2007, before transitioning to commissioned work for books, magazines and portraits. His artwork often features a range of different animals, imaginary creatures and female figures wearing traditional japanese clothing.
