Adam & Eve: Amazing Floral Portraits by Diaja
Published Aug 27, 2019
NYC-based photographer and artist Ceres Henry, aka Diaja, captured these powerful portraits for her ongoing ‘Adam & Eve’ series.
The artist starts the process by meticulously painting the bodies of her models with flower embellishments, prior to shooting.
“Each muse featured is painted on completely, adorned with flowers, and then photographed. The significance of this series is to highlight the Black and African diaspora as works of art to be admired, and celebrated. Not feared, abused and looked down upon. This series counters the negative narratives and stereotypes perpetrated against them in media.”
