A Playful Botanical Alphabet by Laurynas Kamarauskas
Published Jul 18, 2025
Lithuanian designer and illustrator Laurynas Kamarauskas combined typography with his love for the natural world to craft this playful alphabet as one of his contributions to the 36 Days of Type project.
In this collection, each letterform pairs botanical elements with familiar interior objects, from cozy lamps and teapots to vibrant flowers and leafy vines. The result is a beautifully imaginative series designed to reflect, as he explains, “how most of us want to be closer to nature.” Every character becomes a tiny, stylized scene, part letterform, part still life, where houseplants and home comforts coexist in perfect harmony. It’s a unique, whimsical and thoughtful take on type design.
