Katrina Young is an Australian fine artist and illustrator with a talent for crafting expressive portraits and beautiful visual stories.

Drawing from her daily life and personal experiences, Kat finds inspiration everywhere, from wandering the vibrant streets of Shinjuku, Japan, to enjoying the simple pleasure of sunlight streaming through trees on a peaceful dog walk. She incorporates these elements into her artwork, blending whimsy with a sense of nostalgia to beautifully capture those fleeting moments and emotions.

The breadth of Kat’s creative projects is quite impressive too. Her art has adorned the pages of children’s books, novel covers, comic books, and even board games. She’s also painted stunning murals that bring public spaces to life and designed unique pieces for clothing brands. And if you’ve been lucky enough to attend PAX Australia, you might have seen her live in action as part of the ‘Popculture Painters,’ bringing her visions to life on the spot.
