Whimsical & Weird: Illustrations by Roger Olmos
Published Jul 30, 2024
Award-winning Spanish illustrator Roger Olmos creates intriguing visual narratives where whimsy meets the eerie.
Roger’s journey into the world of art began in scientific illustration. As a trainee at the Institut Dexeus, he honed his skills in portraying the minutiae of the natural world with exacting detail. A few years later, he enrolled in the esteemed Llotja Avinyò School of Arts and Crafts in Barcelona, specializing in children’s illustration. It was here that he began to develop his distinctive style, characterized by a delicate balance between the whimsical and the macabre. Throughout his career, his work has been featured in over 100 books, reaching audiences both in Spain and abroad.
