Whimsical Animal Drawings by Redmer Hoekstra

Dutch artist Redmer Hoekstra has been creating whimsical animal drawings for years, merging them with objects to produce playfully surreal compositions. His work has been featured in galleries around the world, and his portfolio spans over a decade of art.

Redmer says he often finds inspiration while riding the train or on the road, when he allows my mind to wander so new connections and ideas can arise. He draws with fineliner on paper, creating intricate pieces that bring his creatures to life. Each illustration takes an average of 32 to 40 hours to be completed.
