Typographic Illustrations by Mat Voyce
Published Jan 21, 2020
UK-based designer Mat Voyce used object illustrations to create these quirky representations of letters and numbers for the ongoing 36 Days of Type project.
“36 Days of Type is a project that invites designers, illustrators and animators to express their particular views on letters and numbers from the alphabet in any given style or format. With my third attempt at all 36 days, I decided to keep it simple, using minimal objects stacked upon each other to represent that days letter.
On top of the objects starting with the letter of the day, they needed to be arranged to portray the shape of the letter, which turned out to be a challenge in itself…However as always being surrounded by other inspiring designers, growing my own creative network online and seeing others interpretations of each days number or letter is the main highlight of the challenge.”
