The Multidisciplinary Artistry of Zeynep Alpay

Zeynep Alpay, affectionately known as Zey, is a multifaceted visual artist that has been contributing to the art scene in Germany with her unique blend of creativity and passion. Her work explores the relationship between identity, psychology and society, and how this relationship influences an individual’s interaction with their environment and themselves.

Zey’s journey into the world of art is as diverse as her work. She is a self-taught artist who has expanded her craft to include illustrations, animations, paper cut-outs, and even mural painting. In one of her most interesting projects, called “Comfort Zone”, she used 3D printing technology to craft limited edition sculptures based on one of her original clay figures. Each sculpture was meticulously painted by hand and laminated. Some of them are designed to reside in their little wooden abodes, while others rest comfortably on plush wool carpets that Zey personally tufted.
