Strange Realms: Imaginative Illustrations by Lili des Bellons
Published Aug 27, 2025
French illustrator and graphic designer Lili des Bellons continues to craft dreamy and offbeat universes with his latest series of works. Drawing inspiration from sources as varied as medieval art, Japanese anime, African aesthetics, and classic European posters, Lili fuses these influences into visuals that feel both futuristic and steeped in folklore.
These new illustrations play out like fragments of an ongoing story, filled with everything from warriors and vampires to mischievous figures and magical forests. Bold, flat colors set the stage for surreal scenes where proportions don’t always make sense, characters seem to switch identities, and there’s always an air of mystery just outside the picture.
You can see more of Lili des Bellons’ work on his website, Behance and Instagram.
