STELLAR: A Graphic Take on Time by Raw Color

The Trio of Time, Anicorn Watches’ experimental collaboration platform, has teamed up with Eindhoven-based design studio Raw Color to create STELLAR, a playful new watch that turns timekeeping into a shifting graphic composition.

STELLAR drops the conventional hands and replaces them with layered forms that rotate at different speeds, so the face never settles into a single image. As the day passes, these shapes move across each other, constantly rearranging into star-like compositions. Small colored dots are worked into the design to indicate the time, making the reading experience more subtle and unconventional.

Founded by Christoph Brach and Daniera ter Haar, Raw Color is known for working across graphic design, photography and product design, with a strong focus on color, material and composition. Their visual language comes through clearly in STELLAR, which feels less like a traditional wristwatch and more like a small kinetic artwork.
