Quirky Ragdoll Superheroes by Untitled Army
Published Apr 11, 2025
When it comes to superheroes, we’ve all seen the perfectly sculpted versions countless times. But Lucas Camargo, the uber-talented artist behind Untitled Army (previously here and here), decided to take them in a delightfully unexpected direction with his quirky digital illustrations.
In this series, Lucas reimagines iconic characters like Batman, Superman and Spider-Man with exaggerated features and a distinct ragdoll-like quality. His interpretation of Batman stands out with a moody 1930s aesthetic, complete with a stop-motion style animation that brings the static 3D portraits to life.
“The Batman suit is simple and bold, reflecting its era, but I wanted to pay homage to all the designs created over time while adding my own unique take.”
“I ultimately merged the bat logo into the suit, giving it a sharp and graphic look,” Lucas explains. His renditions of Superman and Spider-Man are equally striking, taking these characters in bold new visual directions.
