Pop artist David Richardson, aka Gabe Hauser, aka SnackBraff, creates colorful paintings inspired by vintage comic books, cartoon characters and anime culture.
“Mass media of the 90s, in particular, cartoons including Matt Groening’s The Simpsons and Hanna-Barbera’s The Flintstones are common subjects featured in the work of contemporary pop artist Snack Braff (David Richardson).
His representation of these characters are often distorted or feature unnerving expressions to reflect and comment on the current social and economic climate.”
