Pink Pyper: Julia Johnson’s Candy-Colored Portrait Series
Published Oct 21, 2025
LA-based photographer and visual artist Julia Johnson reunites with model, actress and musician Pyper America for Pink Pyper, a bold and playful portrait series that radiates color and character. Known for her vibrant, personality-driven style, Julia transforms the studio into a technicolor playground where retro fashion, candy-colored palettes and magnetic expressions collide.
Every image in the dazzling series is a celebration of bold contrasts and maximalist energy. Pyper’s pastel-pink hair and expressive makeup are paired with saturated backdrops in punchy yellows, greens and purples, while the styling ranges from ’60s mod to sporty streetwear.
We previously featured another stunning collaboration between the duo in Julia’s Liquid Light series, and Pink Pyper continues that creative dialogue with the same confidence and flair.
You can discover more of Julia Johnson’s amazing work on her website, Behance and Instagram.
