Parallel Interiors: Perspective Paintings by Cinta Vidal

Barcelona-based artist Cinta Vidal paints intriguing household interiors where gravity no longer behaves as expected. Rooms tilt, ceilings become floors, and figures continue their routines across impossible architectures, reading, sleeping, eating or sitting in silence while the world around them rotates.

Cinta’s compositions often unfold like fragmented apartments viewed from multiple orientations at once, with each section following its own logic. A child sits upright while another figure hangs above, a piano remains grounded in one direction while a bed belongs to another, and windows open onto cityscapes that refuse a single horizon.

Rather than treating inversion as a visual trick, Cinta uses shifting perspectives to suggest how closely people can coexist while inhabiting very different emotional or psychological spaces.
