Milk Bun Restaurant by Rabih Geha Architects
Published May 23, 2023
Rabih Geha Architects recently completed a stunning design for the Milk Bun restaurant in Qatar. The project was a collaboration between Rabih Geha and the restaurant owners, Gastronomica, and it was designed to invoke tradition in a bold way with its tech-oriented fast-food concept.
The restaurant’s open space is inviting and modern, with an emphasis on the brand’s signature pink hue. The walls are lined with pink-infused panels, and the flooring is made of concrete. A holographic window allows customers to watch as the restaurant’s signature buns and cookies are freshly prepared throughout the day. Two concrete pillars display Milk Bun totem tins, while bespoke drum-shaped lights mounted to the ceiling mirror them on the ground.
Milk Bun features an expansive indoor dining area measuring 376 sqm, as well as a 160 sqm terrace that can be accessed through the restaurant or a side entrance. Both spaces share a cohesive aesthetic, complemented with touches of greenery and pink sunshades on the terrace.
