Mil900: A Restaurant Identity Drawn From a 1902 Landmark

Argentinian designer Cris Belloro has created a beautiful visual identity for Mil900, a restaurant housed in a historic residence in Salto, Buenos Aires. Originally built in 1902 and recognized as a local heritage landmark, the building provided the perfect starting point for a branding project that celebrates its architectural character while introducing a fresh, contemporary aesthetic.

Drawing inspiration from the property’s original murals, decorative floor tiles, ornamental ironwork and architectural details, Cris developed an elegant identity that combines vintage-inspired typography with intricate floral illustrations and a warm, earthy color palette. The versatile logo system includes everything from elaborate oval emblems to minimalist wordmarks, complemented by a collection of custom graphics that work beautifully across packaging, stationery, signage and merchandise.

The project also pays tribute to the city’s cultural heritage through a series of finely detailed illustrations depicting local landmarks and historical figures. These appear on collectible coasters, adding another layer of storytelling to the restaurant’s visual language.
