Liquid Portraits: Incredible Experimental Project by Ruslan Khasanov
Published Jun 15, 2023
We have featured the work of Ruslan Khasanov a number of time here on the grid, and his experimental approach never ceases to amaze us.
His latest project, “Liquid Portraits”, is a continuation of his past work with a technique he has been perfecting for the last decade. For this new experiment, Ruslan chose to create colorful portraits of some of his favorite musical artists. He used liquid paints to create mesmerizing images that capture the spirit and energy of each artist:
“In these portraits, I used a variety of liquids, such as ink, oil and water, to create stunning and unique patterns that are then captured and immortalized in a photograph and 8K video.”
“The process of creating a fluid portrait is challenging. The nature of liquids is unpredictable and requires multiple attempts to achieve the desired result. This is a meditative and exciting process, as the liquids move and blend in unexpected ways.”
