Legend: A Hyper-Real CGI Tribute to Forgotten Le Mans Prototypes by Elliot Brett
Published Jul 8, 2025
UK-based CGI artist and concept designer Elliot Brett is back with Legend, a striking digital tribute to three unrealized Le Mans prototypes that once promised a new era of racing.
Rendered in his signature hyper-realistic style, Legend resurrects the raw ambition behind a concept pitched as a “Formula One car for Le Mans.” The series features three prototypes: the brutal Mk I, notorious among test drivers as “Russ” (short for Russian Roulette) for its terrifying unpredictability, the refined Mk II with its massive rear wing and boosted downforce, and the LM I, a last-ditch Le Mans version repainted black just hours before the race, when Ferrari protested its original red livery.
