Kaleidoscopic Petals: Gorgeous Floral Photography by Shelby Hanlon
Published Jun 21, 2024
In the captivating “Kaleidoscopic Petals” series, photographer and creative director Shelby Hanlon skillfully blends classic floral imagery with digital techniques to create a truly ethereal visual experience.
Shelby is best known for her ongoing “Blossoms” series, but she decided to explore a different artistic approach with this collection.
“This was a new technique I’ve been experimenting with and absolutely fell in love,” Hanlon shares. “I use the radial blur and many, many layers to create this effect.”
Set against soft pink and blue gradients, the flowers take on an otherworldly glow. Her use of bright colors adds to the overall effect, creating images that evoke a sense of wonder and tranquility.
