It’s OK to Touch: Interactive Poster by Build

Published Jan 13, 2014

“Interaphics” is an amazing interactive poster designed to showcase printed touch technology developed by creative technology company Osmotronic.

The graphic piece was created by Build, a British studio specialising in producing visual identities for creative, design-led clients.

‘The viewer is encouraged to touch the poster which is at odds with our expectations of how to interact with piece in a gallery; in other words, to look but not touch. The poster is deliberately delicate, with fine silver print on white paper to enhance this feeling of ‘preciousness’. When touched, the poster comes to life with a series of responses projected onto the surface, depending on where the hand is placed. The viewer is rewarded with numerous visuals and messages, so creating an highly unusual interactive gallery experience.”
