Joey Rex Cardenas is a freelance illustrator from Florida, currently based in Staten Island.
“His work focuses on combining manic, technical pen drawings and bold, flamboyant color schemes to produce graphic illustrations. Much of his inspiration comes from personal daily experiences in the city, as well as traditional and interactive media – including animation, comics and video games.
When he’s not drawing, Joey can typically be found embroiled in some multiplayer video game or blasting through traffic on a skateboard.”
