Illuminated Monuments: Lighting Design by Antoine Bécognée
Published Jul 3, 2025
French designer Antoine Bécognée turns the essence of modern architecture into luminous poetry through his striking Monument series. Working from his Parisian studio since 2010, Antoine crafts what he calls “light sculptures,” delicate yet powerful pieces that transform paper into glowing architectural homages.
These minimalist pieces explore lines, shadows and proportions, translating the grand volumes of concrete and stone into ethereal paper temples. Monumental in form yet fragile by nature, they reveal a captivating tension that feels both timeless and weightless.
